The French Guiana West Community of Communes (CCOG), through its communication department, wanted to celebrate and promote the return of Dany Dann, an iconic figure in French breakdance, recently crowned Olympic champion in Paris. The goal was to create a positive momentum around the success of a young local talent to inspire the new generation and strengthen local pride. This project is part of an effort to highlight Guianese talents and support youth towards paths of excellence.
- Preparation and conducting of interviews with Dany Dann, focusing on his Olympic experience, roots, and advice for young athletes.
- Professional audiovisual production: multi-camera filming over three days across the municipalities of Saint-Laurent du Maroni, Mana, and Apatou, involving two camera operators.
- Editing and postproduction using DaVinci Resolve: logging, editing, advanced color grading, and addition of subtitles for accessibility.
- Fast delivery: filming took place on August 20, 2024, and the video was finalized and delivered to CCOG on August 26, 2024.
- Promotion managed through CCOG under the responsibility of Samir Mathieu, head of communications.
