Freedom Video Mapping: Monumental Projection for the Commemoration of the Abolition of Slavery in Saint-Laurent du Maroni

Primo-Studio Guyane, a 360° web and audiovisual agency in Saint-Laurent du Maroni, designed an event video mapping on the Tourism Office facade to celebrate the abolition of slavery. This project, in partnership with the Manifact, combines graphic design, artificial intelligence, and support for local young talents.

On the occasion of the commemoration of the abolition of slavery in French Guiana, the City of Saint-Laurent du Maroni called upon Primo-Studio Guyane to enhance a place rich in history: the Tourism Office. In collaboration with the Manifact, we conceived a monumental audiovisual fresco, between shadow and light, to revive the memory of Maroon resistance and struggles for freedom. Our approach included training local youth through artificial intelligence tools, blending cultural transmission, graphic innovation, and showcasing local architecture.
