Mapping for the Patronal Festival
Mairie de Saint-Laurent du Maroni
At Primo-Studio Guyane, we are proud to unveil our new immersive creation: the “Patronal Festival Video Mapping.”
This ambitious project transforms the facade into a true visual journey through the highlights of the Patronal Festival of Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni.
Relying on a colorful and coherent vector illustration style, we designed a lively fresco where each “act” highlights a unique aspect of the celebration: the popular marathon, musical evenings, parades, traditional dances, beauty contests, sports meetings, and lively fairground stands.
Thanks to a rhythmic staging and animations conceived as moving tableaux, the viewer follows an immersive path: from the Maroni River with its canoes to concert scenes, from sporting moments to tributes to iconic local figures, ending with colorful rides that crown the festival in a grand finale.
Each visual element was carefully crafted to capture the emotion and festive energy, while paying homage to the traditions and cultural diversity of Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni.
With our expertise in graphic creation and animation combined with precise technical know-how in monumental projection, we transformed this story into a collective and memorable experience.
Primo Studio Guyane remains your creative partner to enhance your cultural and event projects, in French Guiana and beyond.
The Patronal Festival Mapping project is an immersive visual creation projected onto the front facade of the Camp de la Transportation in Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni, a powerful symbol of local historical heritage. Commissioned by the town hall as part of the annual celebrations, this work pays tribute to what the Patronal Festival represents for the city and its inhabitants: a moment of gathering, remembrance, and cultural celebration.
Through a succession of animated tableaux, the mapping highlights the multiple facets of the event: the dynamism of the marathon, the excitement of concerts and balls, the beauty of the parades, the transmission of traditions, the diversity of sports practices, and the conviviality of the stands and rides. Each scene, designed in a colorful and coherent vector graphic style, reflects the richness and cultural diversity of Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni.
Conceived as a wordless visual story, this mapping combines smooth narration, original graphic creation, and technical mastery of monumental projection. It transforms the historic facade of the Camp into a living fresco, embedding the festive and unifying spirit of the Patronal Festival at the heart of public space.
