Photographic Coverage of the 2025 Grand Prix Cycliste de l’Ouest Guyanais
Samir Mathieu - Responsable communicaiton
During the 3rd edition of the Grand Prix Cycliste de l’Ouest Guyanais, our team provided photographic coverage of the event. From May 2 to 4, 2025, we followed the riders on the roads between Paramaribo and Saint-Laurent du Maroni, passing through Javouhey, Charvein, Apatou, Mana, Couachy, Yalimapo, and Saut-Sabbat. Each day, dynamic photos were captured and published in real time on social media, the website, and CCOG media to share the atmosphere, cyclists’ achievements, and the beauty of French Guiana’s western landscapes. Our report highlights the passion for local cycling and the richness of this tour by offering professional-quality images that enhance the event.
The objective was to provide photographic coverage of the third edition of the Grand Prix Cycliste de l’Ouest Guyanais. From May 2 to 4, 2025, our team followed the riders from the second stage to the final finish, passing through Javouhey, Charvein, Apatou, Mana, Couachy, Yalimapo, and Saut-Sabbat. Each day of the race was an opportunity to capture the peloton’s energy, the varied landscapes of French Guiana’s west, and key moments of the competition to feed social media, the website, and CCOG media in real time.
To fulfill this mission, two resources were deployed: a professional photographer and a motorcycle driver to safely follow the peloton. Equipped with high-definition cameras and protective gear, we traveled the roads under sun and rain to capture dynamic images. The photos were selected, processed, and published the same day on social media and the website to maintain public enthusiasm. This light and responsive setup allowed us to narrate the race as it unfolded, while guaranteeing optimal visual quality.
