How do I split a scan into several files?
In the Split tab, drop your PDF or images (PDF, JPEG, PNG, HEIC). DocNomi finds where each document starts and suggests one file per document, with a name. You review, move a cut if needed, then click Save.
Where do the suggested names come from?
From the content of the pages: the type of document, then what changes from one copy to the next, such as a licence plate or a company name. For example "Duplicate request AB-123-CD (Société Azur).pdf". You can remove a part, click a word on the page to add it, or type your own text, then apply the same logic to similar files.
How do I merge PDFs or turn an image into a PDF?
The Merge tab combines several PDFs or images into a single PDF, in the order you choose. The Image to PDF tab turns a photo or an image into a PDF, in A4, US Letter or its original size.
What does DocNomi warn me about?
The same scan included twice, an original file name that contradicts the page content, two originals that look alike but don't have the same signatures, and hard-to-read pages. Nothing is fixed silently: you see the warning and you decide.
Do I need Apple Intelligence?
DocNomi requires macOS 26 on a Mac with Apple silicon. It uses Apple's on-device AI when it's available. Without it, reading the pages still works, and you adjust the names yourself during review.
Are my documents sent anywhere?
No. Everything is processed on your Mac. No document, name or text is sent, there is no account and we collect nothing. Only a free-trial counter, with no content, is kept in your iCloud Keychain.
How do the free trials work?
You get two free runs, up to 10 pages each. The counter is kept in your iCloud Keychain: deleting and reinstalling the app doesn't reset it. After that, choose the monthly or yearly subscription, or the lifetime purchase.
How do I restore my purchase on another Mac or on iPhone?
Sign in with the same Apple Account you used to buy, then click "Restore Purchases" in the app. One purchase covers Mac and iPhone (universal purchase); the iPhone version is coming soon.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Your subscription is managed in your Apple Account settings, under Subscriptions (on Mac: App Store, your name, Account Settings). Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period to avoid renewal. For a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com: the sale is made by Apple, we can't issue refunds ourselves.
